Yota 3 : the return of the smartphone with two screens

Two years after the launch of the YoaPhone 2, the successor has been unveiled this week. And it respects the originality of earlier models, namely a classic screen color on one side… and a screen (E-Ink on the back.

After several months of rumors, the Yota 3 has been unveiled in China, where it will be marketed from 3.699 yuan, the equivalent of 470 €. For this price, we will carry in the pocket-a smartphone equipped with an AMOLED display of 5.5-inch (1,920 x 1,080) on one side, and a slab of E-Ink the 5.2-inch (1280 x 720) on the other.

A mid-range very original

Inside this device is a chip Snapdragon 625 with 4 Gb of RAM and 64 Gb of storage. The Yota 3 incorporates a fingerprint reader, a camera of 13 megapixel camera for selfies (on AMOLED), a battery with a capacity of 3,300 mAh.

So, it is a mid-end device, but its originality does not, of course in the internal characteristics. Here are the two screens of the stars, such as the façade in electronic ink. This will enable you to read e-books without consuming too much energy.

The smartphone will go on sale in China on 26 September, but no word on a wider availability.
