As the website NokiaPowerUser reports, HMD Global is now one step further. On Twitter, Mikko Jaakkola, head of HMD Global, responded to the request when the boot loader was removed. According to one Nokia model after the other the Unlock.
Users should decide for themselves
According to Mikko Jaakkola’s tweet, users are supposed to decide which of the Nokia models should first get a Unlock. An appointment, when appropriate tools are provided, was not mentioned.
Once a boot loader is removed, smartphone owners can install other custom ROMs, such as LineageOS or TugaPower. The startup company OnePlus and HTC already offer a boot loader unlock. Not quite without risk the whole thing, because Custom ROMs can also cause damage and in extreme cases the warranty is lost.
