Facebook is testing authentication with facial recognition

Even Facebook is testing a feature that will allow users to retrieve their account using the face as the authentication method. The confirmation comes directly from the social network giant, after a network that circulated on the Web an image that showed the face authentication screen.

” We are testing a new feature for people who want to quickly and easily check that an account is in the recovery process. This optional feature is only available on devices already used to login. This is a plus option besides two-factor SMS authentication, which we use to confirm the identity of the user. “

The function may be convenient in those situations where the password was forgotten and you can not receive a confirmation SMS. This feature should not compromise the user’s privacy as it would only be used to unlock the account privately and seems far more accessible than other methods that are still used.
