The iPhone X is definitely talking about itself: it is undoubtedly a major change in Apple’s home, especially in design. Does the new “fullscreen” smartphone have the best screen-to-body ratio on the market and exceeds all other Android smartphones? According to the measurements made it seems to be no.
This year we have witnessed the arrival of several smartphones that are very focused on this aspect and consequently on small frames. Last year, Xiaomi was astonished at the Mi MIX, and the successor Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, recently introduced, does not seem to be no less.
At the beginning of the year, they were the tops in the range of Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and LG G6, while the new LG V30 was only recently unveiled.
It should be borne in mind that measuring the screen-to-body ratio is not always easy, especially since the smartphones have curved corners (even those less) and curved edges (especially Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus). According to calculations, the new iPhone X reaches a 81.49% ratio , Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 82.63% (the prints exaggerated a bit) and LG V30 of 83.24 %.
As for the Galaxy S8, the measurement has been complicated by curved edges and we do not have accurate data, but the percentage should be in line with the above (due to curvature).
The new Apple Home Tip device is therefore in line with some of the latest Android gaming tops in this regard, but unlike what you can think of at first glance, it fails to overcome them. There is also a need to consider the “cut” top, which does not allow you to fully exploit the two sides, especially for multimedia content.
