Particularly with Voice over LTE and Voice over WiFi were previously also calls into the Festnetz of Telefónica and in that of the Deutsche Telekom possible.
From now on, it is also possible to use HD Voice in the mobile network across the network from Telefónica to Deutsche Telekom and vice versa. An HD voice-capable terminal provided, the telephony from the Telefónica networks for UMTS and LTE into the networks of the Deutsche Telekom for GSM, UMTS and LTE is possible. In the opposite direction, Deutsche Telekom is also supporting the GSM network for calls with HD Voice.
In order to ensure a smooth process, Telefónica will gradually implement the changeover and gradually increase the share of calls made in HD Voice over the coming weeks and months. In the second step, HD voice calls are to be released into other networks.
