Galaxy S9 iPhone 8-Design – In the spring of 2018 the successor of the still-current Galaxy S8 (Plus) is expected. The Galaxy S9 is supposed to have an Infinity display similar to the S8, but Samsung wants to completely remove the edge completely.
Galaxy S9 mit Full-Screen-Display
With the current Galaxy S8 (Plus), Samsung had significantly changed the design compared to earlier Galaxy Top models. For the first time, Samsung used an infinity display with an almost borderless screen and a display format of 18.5: 9. With the current Galaxy Note 8, this technology was continued.
As the blog Sammobile reports, Samsung plans to improve the infinity display once again. Accordingly, the upper and lower edges should also be completely eliminated. This is at least the result of a patent filed by the manufacturer some time ago.
Images and patent show sketches
Corresponding pictures from a submitted patent clearly demonstrate how Samsung presents itself for the upcoming Galaxy Top models like the Galaxy S9. On the sketches, published by Galaxyclub.nl, the upper section is clearly visible. It would be possible that Samsung integrated the front camera and various sensors in a narrow frame on the display edge. According to the report, the patent is already available from May 2016 and has now been awarded to the manufacturer.
According to rumors, the Galaxy S9 is powered by Qualcomm’s 845 Snapdragon processor. Supposedly, Samsung has already secured the prerogative for the chipset. The fingerprint sensor placed unhappily in the Galaxy S8 (Plus) and Galaxy Note 8 should also be installed elsewhere on the back. Cover image: Galaxyclub.nl.
