# IFA2017: The LG V30 unveils completely and could be the king of the show

As the release of the iPhone 8 becomes clearer, and the Galaxy S8 (our test) sells well, LG intends to pull the game with the V30. And the model has serious advantages.

LG presented this morning the V30, one of the most anticipated smartphones of the IFA. If the LG G6 (our test) had already good qualities, the latter could well be positioned as a real alternative to the top-of-the-range tenors. The device confirms the rumors we have already mentioned.

It is equipped with a large 6-inch Full Vision OLED display, with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels (Quad HD +). The latter, which adopts a ratio of 18: 9, occupies 90% of the slab certified Gorilla Glass 5. This is also the case of the G6, which was satisfied however with an IPS panel. Needless to say, this is one of the great strengths of the model, which also confirms its waterproof IP68.

The hardware is no exception as it embeds the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with “only” 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.0 storage (expandable via MicroSD). The 3300 mAh battery is compatible with QuickCharge 3.0.

The smartphone stands out, however, with a quadruple DAC HiFi that looks pretty spectacular, with a particularly loyal sound. The Korean takes the opportunity to confirm compatibility with wired headphones via a traditional jack. The V30 will also be accompanied by a pair of headphones signed Bang & Olufsen Play.

But the smartphone does not leave the picture, quite the opposite. The LG G6 was already convincing on this side, but LG promises better. One of the two sensors at the rear (13 Mpx) is equipped with a f 1/6 light lens, which is unique on the market today. The latter can thus leave up to 25% more light than a f / 1.8 lens.

The second sensor allows it to use the wide angle and opens at f / 1.9. It is possible to switch from one to the other as needed. The autofocus laser is this time coupled to an electronic stabilizer. It could be the best photophone on the market, but we will have to wait for it.

Unlike the V20, the LG V30 will come out well in Europe. It will initially be available in South Korea from 21 September, and will soon arrive to us afterwards. Four colors will be available. The official price has not been announced, but should be between 800 and 900 euros.
