IFA: Archos Diamond Alpha Plus with Dual camera presented

According to the already presented Archos Diamond Alpha, the manufacturer presents a better equipped version at the IFA in Berlin. The Diamond Alpha Plus will start trading in October at a price of almost 400 euros.

Compared to the “normal” Diamond Alpha, the Plus variant offers a larger memory and a more powerful processor, as well as a larger internal flash memory.

Dual camera in the Archos Diamond Alpha Plus

Compared to the Archos Diamond Alpha with “only” 4 gigabytes of RAM, the Diamond Alpha Plus offers 6 gigabytes of memory. The drive provides a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor with a 1.9 gigahertz clock rate. Instead of only 64 GB flash memory in the normal Diamond Alpha, the Plus version has 128 gigabytes of internal memory.

The Diamond Alpha Plus is operated via a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution and 423 ppi pixel densities. A further plus is the integrated 13-megapixel dual camera on the back, which records color and black-and-white images. Selfies are made with the 16 megapixel camera on the front. The Archos Diamond Plus also supports LTE and WLAN as well as ac-standard.
