YotaPhone 3 unveiled – The first YotaPhone from Yota Devices started very little in December 2012. Now YotaPhone has ushered in the 3rd generation with the YotaPhone 3. The special feature is again a second e-ink display on the back. For around 300 euros the smartphone can be pre-ordered from September.
YotaPhone already has two phones with the YotaPhone (1) from 2012 and YotaPhone 2 from 2014, which have a second display on the back of the case. After that, it was quiet for a long time around the Russian manufacturer.
At a conference in China in February this year, Yota Devices had already announced the YotaPhone 3. Now the smartphone has been officially introduced. The YotaPhone 3 is expected to be available in the middle of September for about 305 euros.
Dual-Display mit E-Ink-Technologie
The Sino-Russian cooperation seems to bear fruit, because after several years of rest, the YotaPhone 3 is official. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4 gigabytes of memory. Depending on the version, 64 or 128 gigabytes of memory are available internally.
The YotaPhone 3 is operated via a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution. A second e-ink display on the front has a diagonal of 5.2 inches and is energy-saving HD-resolution. The E-Ink display is especially suitable for reading e-books and is also suitable as an always-on display. Photos and videos capture a 13-megapixel camera and for Selfies a 12-megapixel camera is available. Other features of the YotaPhone 3 are a 3,300 mAh strong battery, USB Type C, LTE and WLAN and pre-installed Android 7.1.1. The YotaPhone 3 can be pre-ordered via JD.com in the colors white or black. A Germany release is currently unknown.
