For a few months, a new Yotaphone has been talking about, and there have been very recent realistic photos. Now the new smartphone has been officially introduced: The Yotaphone 3 is scheduled to enter the market in September, initially only in China. There it is marketed as Yota3.
About the phone itself there is surprisingly little to report. It’s typical Android middle class at the height of time, just having a second display on the back, an e-ink display. Even with the first two versions of the Yotaphones, the Russian company had set this single-minded feature – with moderate success. The second Yotaphone was introduced at the end of 2014.
The newcomer has a 5.5 “AMOLED display with full HD resolution on the front, is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and optionally with 64 or 128 GB of memory, the back camera resolves with 12, the front with 13 megapixels. The battery has a capacity of 3,300 mAh. As a processor Yota uses a Snapdragon 625. The E-ink display on the back is 5.2 “large. OS is Android 7.1.1 to use
In China, the smaller version is about 300 euros. If and when the Yotaphone 3 will also be available in other countries is currently not known.
