Sony Xperia XZ1 (Compact): New pictures

Again, press pictures of the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ1 (Compact) have probably been published somewhat prematurely. The new photos, which Winfuture has published, suggest that Sony does not bring much new on both smartphones.

Sony retains the design of the X-Series, as is clear from the pictures. There will be two versions, the Xperia XZ1 and the Xperia XZ1 Compact. A performance is reportedly taking place at the IFA in Berlin.

Details about the Xperia XZ1 so far

Externally, both XZ1 models, with the exception of the display diagonals, differ little from each other. In the Xperia XZ1, the NFC chip is probably placed at the height of the LED flash and laser focus. The NFC logo on the XZ1 Compact is located near the volume rocker. Also, the Compact version apparently has no visible antenna strips.

The smartphones are rumored to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4 gigabytes of memory. A 64-gigabyte UFS memory is also expected. For both models the main camera with 19-megapixels is to dissolve. Only the Xperia XZ1 will have a super-slow-down function and a 5.2-inch HDR display with full-HD resolution. The screen of the Compact model has a diagonal of 4.6 inches and will probably only offer HD resolution. Whether there will be a third model, we will find out at the IFA at the earliest.
