Samsung officialises the Galaxy Note8: design, S Pen, screen, here is all that you need to know

After countless rumors and when it was mistakenly believed that Samsung was going to abandon the Galaxy Note brand after the setbacks of Note7, it is in this summer 2017 that the Korean brand has just formalized its brand new smartphone top Range: the Galaxy Note8. Not surprisingly, the Galaxy Note8 is positioned as the big brother of the Galaxy S8. And like the Note7 compared to the S7 at the time, the Galaxy Note8 can be summed up as a Galaxy S8 +, but with a stylus.

As with the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy Note8 offers an Infinity Display curve with a diagonal of 6.3 inches (against 6.2 inches for the Galaxy S8 +). A Super AMOLED slab is available in 18.5: 9 format, compatible with HDR Premium, with a Quad HD + resolution of 2960 × 1440 pixels (density of 526ppp). Like the Galaxy S8, there are no buttons on the front, but a real home button, said invisible, which is placed under the screen. It is a pressure sensor that allows to activate it or not. So the fingerprint reader is always on the back, next to the cameras. If we did not hope to find it on the front, we would have liked it to be placed a little lower on the hull to allow better access. Going back to the screen,

In its bowels, one necessarily finds what one already knew with the Galaxy S8, namely an Exynos 8895 with eight hearts 64Bits (2,3GHz Quad + 1,7Ghz Quad) etched in 10nm. Depending on the market (in the US, for example), some versions of the Galaxy Note8 will be delivered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. In terms of performance, this is a 10% gain compared to the Galaxy S7 at the CPU and 21% at the GPU level. On the memory side, we have an internal memory of 64 GB, 6 GB of RAM and of course a Micro-SD port and USB Type-C. Side 4G, we have the 4G of Category 16 or Gigabit LTE for the intimates, which allows to reach up to 1GBps in download. It is also Gigabit Wi-Fi Ready and offers you Bluetooth 5.0 LE (which allows to connect two devices at the same time output) and WiFi ac. There is of course the fingerprint sensor, an Iris sensor (as on the Galaxy Note 7) and also now the recognition of the faces. For the battery, to our surprise, the latter displays a capacity of 3300 mAh, 200 mAh less than the Galaxy S8 +. There is of course the wireless charging and fast, all in dimensions of 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm for a weight of 195 grams. The Galaxy Note8 is therefore slightly larger and heavier than the Galaxy S8 +. All in dimensions of 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm for a weight of 195 grams.
