Bethesda has decided to offer the six-year-old ego shooter Brink free of charge on Steam. The action game developed by Splash Damage with elements of the sport Parkour was published in May 2011.
In the Steam shop, Brink is now free. Only for the three related DLCs are prices from 0.99 to 2.99 euros required. The announcement speaks of “Free to Play” – but there is no evidence of funding by microtransactions. The shooter, which was taken over by players and testers a few years ago, is said to have sold more than 2.5 million copies by 2012. Individual and multi-player modes, including co-op, are offered.
