Galaxy S9 with Snapdragon 845 chip: Samsung is probably a privilege

Galaxy S9 with Snapdragon 845 chip – Still the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor is the fastest for mobile devices and is used, for example, in the Galaxy S8 (Plus). In the Galaxy S9, the successor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip, will ensure fast performance. Apparently, Samsung has secured the privileges.

Galaxy S9: Snapdragon 845 chip first at Samsung device

At the Mobile World Congress in February, well-known smartphone manufacturers had to forego the fastest processor Qualcomm Snapdrgaon 835 at the time, and presented the Snapdragon 821. Samsung manufactures the chip and secured the privilege to use the processor first in the Galaxy S8, which started in April.

According to a report from Gizmochina, Samsung also seems to have the same privilege for the Snapdragon 845 processor for the upcoming Galaxy S9 backed up. According to the report, Samsung and Qualcomm have reported a corresponding deal.

So far, details about the Galaxy S9

Although Samsung had denied a little later that only for the Galaxy S8 for the time being the Snapdragon 835 is used and claimed too low availability and the elaborate 10-nm FinFet procedure would have been the reason. However, this statement has probably never been clarified.

According to a report from The Investor, the Galaxy S9 will have a 5.8 inch “Infinity” display and the Galaxy S9 Plus a 6.2 inch display. So the Galaxy S9 differs, at least as far as the display size, not from the predecessor. According to rumors, the fingerprint sensor should be integrated on the back. In the spring next year the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus is expected.
