Nvidia and Square Enix have jointly announced the PC version of Final Fantasy XV. At the beginning of 2018 the implementation for Windows will follow after the game has been released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at the end of last year.
Integration of HairWorks and Co.
Due to the cooperation between Nvidia and Square Enix, the game will benefit especially from Nvidia technologies. These include HairWorks, VXAO, ShadowWorks and Ansel. Support for G-Sync is also to be ensured. In general, the PC version is to be optimized for graphics cards of the manufacturer’s Pascal generation, Nvidia provides the developer with source code, tools and middleware.
PC version comes with all previous DLCs
Square Enix also works on the support of 8K resolutions, textures in UHD, HDR10 and Dolby Atmos. All DLCs published after the release will include the Windows version as well.
