Quake champions leave the closed beta phase behind. From August 22, all players can test – or at least all who buy the game. Parallel to the opening of the servers Bethesda plans a big update with two new maps, challenges and the Doom Slayer as a playable figure.
The latest game character comes from the game of the same name and can perform double jumping. In Berserker mode, the Doom Navy fights enemies with his fists. Overall, the game starts the early access phase with four game modes and eleven playable characters.
All users who buy the approximately 30 Euro Champions Pack on Steam or the Bethesda Launcher are allowed to play. This package, which is expected to be ten euros more expensive in the final release, provides full access to the game and all future characters. Alternatively, Quake Champions can also be played with a free-to-play model, where heroes are temporarily rented – the shooter is offered both free and at a full price.
F2P already for beta testers
However, the F2P version is only released after the end of the early access phase. Only a small group of users is free to test already in August: Participants of the closed Betatests can use this variant over the Bethesda launcher and thus have access to the game.
