Galaxy Note 8 slower than the Galaxy S8?

On August 23 Samsung will present its new flagship Galaxy Note 8. Onboard is depending on the region the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835- or the in-house Exynos 8895 processor. This is where the Exynos 8895 will come into play.

In a Geekbench the Galaxy Note 8 is probably now twice twice. Surprisingly, the note 8 shows with some results slower than the Galaxy S8.

Geekbench shows alleged note 8

The Galaxy Note 8 appeared in two Geekbench entries. In a database it is listed with the Snapdragon 835 chipset and the designation SM-N950U, in the other entry with the same designation and the Samsung Exynos 8895 processor. While in the US, the Snapdragon 835 chip is used, the Exynos 8895 processor is expected for Europe.

In the single core test and with the Exynos chip, the note reaches 1984 points and in the multi-core 6116 points. So it would be at least in the multi-core test slower than the Galaxy S8 with usually 6499 points. Apparently, the Exynos chip is faster than the Snapdragon processor. With the Qualcomm chip the grade 8 in the Geekbench reaches only 1815 single-core points and in the multi-core 6066 points. Whether this is already a final model of grade 8 is not known. The Note 8-Pharet uses 6 gigabytes of RAM as opposed to the S8 with 4 GB of RAM. Cover image Evan Blass on Twitter.
