Motorola plans a revival of the Moto-X series. The latest update of the 2015 model series is coming soon to the market as a medium-class new edition, according to the Android Authority. Suspected images of the Moto X4 show a 5.2-inch display, a jack connection and a glass rear. The message also indicates the technical data.
5.2-inch display and glass rear
In contrast to flagship models such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 (test) or the LG G6 (test), which focus on an almost frameless display design, the front of the Moto X comes traditionally. The frames are comparatively large above and below the 5.2-inch display.
On the upper side, besides the moto lettering, the telephony loudspeakers and the front camera can be seen. Below the display is the fingerprint sensor. The back is glass-coated and features a two-lens camera above the Moto logo.
The Moto X4 is to appear in the two shades “Super Black” and “Sterling Blue”. The measurements should be 148.35 × 73.4 × 7.99 cm, with a weight of 163 grams. Android Authority has the rendering own data according to an exclusive source. TudoCelular’s hands-on photos of the Motorola smartphone already gave an impression of the supposed Moto-X4 optics.
Hardware equipment depends on the region
A total of four different versions of the Moto X4 will appear, which offer a different hardware configuration depending on the region. Three gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of memory are planned for Europe and North and Latin America. In large parts of Asia, the Moto X4 is likely to be available with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of memory.
The SoC – in contrast to storage equipment – should be the same in all regions. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 with Adreno 508 GPU will be used worldwide in every X4 variant.
Camera with 16 MP front and 12 MP rear
Android Authority also cites the camera specifications, which are officially not confirmed. Thus, the main camera on the rear panel releases with 12 MP and offers a pixel size of 1.4 μm as well as an F / 2.0 aperture. The second backside lens has 8 MP, an F / 2.2 aperture, and a pixel size of 1.12 μm. The two-lens system allows, among other things, different deep-focus effects.
The resolution of the front camera is 16 megapixels, with a pixel size of 1.0 μm and an F / 2.0 aperture. While the Moto X4 takes full-HD videos with 60 FPS, a maximum of 30 frames per second is possible with 4K videos. The Selfie camera was developed especially for shooting in low light conditions. Different low-light modes should provide good snapshots in a dark environment.
3.000 mAh battery and headphone jack
According to the report, the battery capacity is 3,000 mAh. A fast-charging function allows the smartphone to be operated for several hours in a matter of minutes. Other features include, according to the message, a jack connector on the bottom of the device, a water and dustproof case with IP68 certificate, and Motorola specific features such as Moto Actions, Moto Voice and Moto Display.
Motorola is expected to officially announce the Moto X4 on August 24th.
