In Russia, Android smartphone users can now choose their own search engine

Google is no longer master of its destiny in Russia. The US company lost earlier this year a dispute with the Russian anti-monopoly agency, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). For example, Silicon Valley-based technology services company has been forced to make some changes to its Chrome app, which is available on all Android smartphones.

Russian users are now invited to choose and select a default search engine for themselves when launching the application for the first time.
