The Kantar team has released new data on the spread of mobile operating systems, confirming (if need be) that the smartphone market continues to be dominated over and over Android.
Things in the second quarter of 2017 also went well with Samsung, which saw its market share rise in the United States from 32.9% to 36.2%. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus remain the best-selling smartphones in the US, followed by the Samsung Galaxy S7 (third in the standings) and the Samsung Galaxy S8 (fourth).
Also in Europe, the Korean giant is the main player in the Android world, and its mid-range smartphones are able to keep Wiko’s and Huawei’s low-cost competition at bay.
As for the Italian situation, Android can count on a market share of 82.6%, followed by iOS (14%), Windows (3.1%) and BlackBerry (0.3%).
