Although the latest Samsung Galaxy S models, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S8, have IP68 certification, there will also be an outdoor version of the current flagship.

Picture shows Galaxy S8 Active from the front

The Leaker Evan Blass has published a picture of the supposed Samsung Galaxy S8 Active via Twitter that the smartphone shows for the first time clearly from the front. The picture gives an impression of how Samsung designed the outdoor variant and how the design looks. According to Blass, it is a press picture of the manufacturer.

The Galaxy S8 Active is to be operated via a 5.8 inch display, whereby the resolution has not yet been confirmed. Compared to the S8, the S8 Active Display does not offer rounded edges. Samsung will equip the device with a 4,000 mAh strong battery. Probably a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4 gigabytes of memory provides for the drive. The Galaxy S8 Active will be protected against impacts and water and will probably be equipped with the military standard MIL-STD-810G against strong temperatures and certain chemicals. It is still unclear whether Samsung plans a release also in Germany. Cover: Evan Blass on Twitter
