Meizu Pro 7: An amazing smartphone … With an LCD screen at the back

Chinese smartphones are often criticized for being too similar to each other. This will obviously not be the case for the next Meizu Pro 7.

The next Meizu pro range should differentiate itself from its elder. The latest information in fact let us hear that the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus will have a secondary screen … on the back of the smartphone!

Different design

The first rumors indicated that the Chinese had opted for an e-ink screen at the start, which has the advantage of not consuming the battery greatly. But clichés have leaked on the Chinese social network Weibo (via GizChina) and actually show an LCD screen. Located under the dual photo sensor, the latter offers much more possibilities.

One thinks in particular of a mode that would allow to see a selfies before taking the picture, but other images show square games turn on them. There is also a reduced version of the main screen, which could be used to manipulate without turning on the main screen.

As for the rest, it will be equipped with a slab of 5.2 inches Full HD resolution. The Meizu Pro 7 Plus would opt for a 5.5-inch screen. It will be equipped with a MediaTek Helio X30 chip, but we do not yet know the amount of RAM or storage space. The picture should be ensured by a dual sensor 12 MegaPixels IMX386 and IMX286 from Sony. The front-end camera would reach him 16 Megapixels.

The prices of the Pro 7 will normally oscillate between 360 euros and 430 euros depending on the version. The price of Pro 7 Plus will be between 425 euros and 490 euros. Meizu is therefore aiming for a solid mid-range, and would like to stand out with this key for the less original. It remains to be seen if this will not weigh too much on the battery.
