Smartphone manufacturers try to set new records with new models, of course: even richer battery, even higher resolution, even faster processor. At least since the Xiaomi Mi Mix and the Samsung Galaxy S8, we can make a further trend here: the record hunt after the display with the highest screen-to-body ratio, the display with the thinnest edge.

The Japanese of Sharp, now known to Foxconn, would like to join now. That Sharp is concerned about slim display frames, is however not really new when you look at the Sharp Aquos Crystal, for example. Just two new models – the FS8016 and the FS8010 are rumored to join, as reported by Mydrivers.

Except for the fact that the 5.5-inch displays with 2,048 x 1,080 pixels dissolve and a screen-to-body ratio of at least 91.3 per cent to prove, are not yet very many technical details durchgeickert. But at least the talk is that the FS8016 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, while the FS8010 is equipped with a Snapdragon 630.

This is the rough way: Borderless middle class for the slightly smaller purse and thus for the smartphone user, who just has no desire for high-end smartphones (or the required prices). It is also reported that Android 7.1.1 Nougat is installed as OS and there should be versions with 4 and 6 GB of RAM. Both models, which by the way are certainly published under names other than those listed here, are also to have a 12 MP resolution dual cam.

If the rumors fit, then Sharp will air the curtain on July 17, so already in two weeks. Nice to see that Foxconn Sharp obviously revived life – but we can not expect Japanese smartphones to find the way to Europe. Too bad, because such a design for a small price would have found many fans in Germany.
