Lenovo Folio: Foldable tablet changes between 5.5 and 7.8 inches

Lenovo has once again shown a foldable tablet, whose flexible display measures whether it is folded or not 5.5 or 7.8 inches. The total resolution is 1,920 × 1,440 pixels. You could see the Folio tablet on the Lenovo Tech World 2017. A world champion, however, was not.

A processor of the type Qualcomm Xiao Long 800 is expected in the functional prototype of the Lenovo Folio. With a folding radius of 4.2 mm, the device can be folded flush. As an operating system, the Folio currently uses Android 7.0. An eSIM is also installed.

Manufacturers such as LG and Samsung have been demonstrating studies and prototypes of foldable OLED displays at trade fairs for years. The folio from Samsung from the year 2013 can be folded from 21 x 21 cm to 7 x 7 cm and stowed in the wallet, LG’s roll-up display is still intended for large formats.

Last year, the Chinese company had shown the concept of a foldable tablet at its house fair, at that time in white, apparently with a thicker margin around the display, but also with Android.
