WhatsApp iOS: You can play YouTube videos directly in Messenger

Whatsapp MessengerWhatsApp Play YouTube Videos – A new beta version of WhatsApp for iOS and iPhones has been added. YouTube videos can be played directly in Messenger. Unfortunately, the new feature is still limited to certain iPhone models.

WhatsApp: Play YouTube videos

The WhatsApp-specialized Leaker WABetaInfo has once again discovered a new feature in a recent WhatsApp beta version. YouTube videos can now be played directly in Messenger with the beta version 2.17.40 for iOS.

Although videos can now be played, but they must be “invite” into the chat and can not refer to a third-party platform by means of a link. With the new feature, it is no longer necessary to leave the messenger to see the video.

YouTube support limited to certain iPhones

In addition, users can also adjust the player size of the video player as desired to keep track of the latest news in the chat. However, the display of the respective smartphone must be large enough to use a “picture-in-picture” feature.

In order to display the video next to the chat at the same time, only owners of more current Apple iPhones with a sufficiently large screen can use this function. Currently the new feature is only available with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. I do not know if YouTube support will be used later for older iOS devices. The new feature is already integrated in the current beta version for WhatsApp beta testers, but not activated. As a rule, however, it will not be long before WhatsApp makes this feature public.
