It’s called WiFi.Italia.It and is a free application for navigation throughout Italy, Once installed on your smartphone will require registration and will allow you to connect to networks at no cost WiFi federated. For the moment the cover is weak and covers the cities of Milan, Bari, Florence and Rome.
Among the areas covered, however, we find the Polesine, the province of Trento and Emilia-Romagna. After completing the registration, which involves the insertion of a few personal details, you can browse through the application, especially in tourist locations that will soon be covered by new access points.
The most important thing is that once you have registered you will not need to authenticate each time you connect to a network of WiFi Italy, as the account will be unique and valid for all network hotspots. With the new app you can also access the local information services, purchasing tickets or browsing of content.
The project was developed by Infratel I know will also examine the future evolution of the network.
