By Honor 6A brand Huawei has introduced a new entry-level device that will be aimed primarily at first-time buyers of a smartphone. Overclockers has the smartphone already seen and gain first impressions.
Despite the price of 169 euros Honor would also score with power again. The 8.2 mm slim smartphone inserted by the manufacturer in a housing made of metal, but this concerns only the back, the frame and the diaphragm around the back of the other hand are made of plastic. The display is five inches tall and has HD resolution. Due to the low price plastic comes as a cover for use, whereby fingerprints and dirt are more difficult to remove instead of glass.
Snapdragon 430 and dual SIM
Under the hood lies a Snapdragon 430 with eight Cortex-A53 cores, which in turn are divided into two clusters of four cores. The performance clusters is clocked at a maximum of 1.4 GHz, the power cluster with up to 1.1 GHz. There are also two gigabytes of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded via microSD card. In the absence of a memory expansion, the use of a second SIM card is possible. The operating system that comes not quite dewy Android 7.0 (test) instead of 7.1.1 is used, associated with the known Huawei surface EMUI 5.1. The security patch level of the demonstration models were not up to date for April 2017th
The main camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels, autofocus with phase detection and an LED flash; the front camera comes with 5 megapixels and fixed focus. The tightly integrated battery provides a nominal charge of 3,020 mAh. Other features include WLAN according to the standards b / g / n on the 2.4 GHz frequency, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB 2.0.
First impression and comparison
The first impression of Honor 6A falls broadly positive, given the low price. The smartphone has fundamentally appropriate hardware, although many features for added comfort – such as a glass cover of the display – are missing. The processing of the demonstration models was good, even the feel impressed by the slightly rounded design on the back. A look into the price comparison also shows that as the Moto G5 (test) is to have a higher resolution, built-in fingerprint sensor and Gorilla Glass for an extra charge of around 20 euros.
Price and Availability
The official launch is on July 17 at a price of 169 euros. The Honor 6A will be available in shades of gold, gray and silver over the hotel’s online store VMALL and selected dealers.
