As expected by some in the run-up, Apple has today two of its equipment series a hardware update donated and in addition also the prices changed. Two models of the iMac with Retina 5K display are now available in the online shop. While the high-end variant is now available from 2.599, there is the cheaper version starting at 2.299 euros to buy. The latter has to deal with the slightly smaller specifications in the standard configuration compared to the larger version. For example, there is only a 1TB standard drive instead of a FusionDrive. On the other hand, this model might be more interesting for those who wanted to buy a 27 inch iMac without a retina.

While the 13 inch versions were already equipped with a ForceTouch trackpad after the announcement of the new MacBook in March, the 15 inch versions are only available with today’s update. In addition, the accumulator should be held for another hour and a faster memory installed. The high-end model comes with the 80% faster graphics card. However, prices have also risen. So the smaller of the two variants starts at 2,249 euros, while the better version hits at least 2,799 euros.
