Google Pixel 2: Two technical sheets unveiled

It was long believed that the Google Pixel 2 would come in three different models. But the disclosure of two fact sheets seems to confirm something else.

The Google Pixel has not been marketed in France, but still makes a lot of talk about it. While three code names were known until then (Walleye, Muskie and Taimen), the technical sheet of two of them has just been unveiled on the forum XDA Developpers. The “Muskie” could therefore be at a standstill.

However, the characteristics of the other two are interesting. The Taimen would ship a 5.99-inch OLED slab with a 1440p definition by LG. A Snapdragon 835 chip should power everything, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On the photo side, Google does not seem to privilege the dual sensor since there would be only one, equipped with a double LED flash. A powerful configuration for a smartphone XL, in short. The metal and glass shell should be kept.

The Walleye is more compact, but not necessarily less efficient! Equipped with a 4.97-inch screen, it also works with a SoC Snapdragon 835, 4 GB of RAM, but also 64 GB of storage. The design should not differ much from the first Google Pixel name. We can therefore expect thick edges at the ends. The data sheet does not indicate the presence of a 3.5 mm jack, but this remains to be confirmed.

We are waiting to learn more about these two distinct models, especially if they are planned for the end of the year.
