Galaxy Note 7 starts as a “Fandom Edition” – Samsung had already confirmed several months ago that a new edition of the Galaxy Note 7 is given. The Refurbished version is reportedly launched under the name Galaxy Note FE in July in the trade. FE is supposed to stand for “Fandom Edition” (fan edition), but a distribution in Germany is rather questionable.
Galaxy Note 7: New edition starts as Galaxy Note FE
In October 2016 the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was stopped due to battery explosions. Samsung had already said that a refurbished version will restart.
As the news agency Yonhab reports, Samsung will launch the Refurbished model called Galaxy Note FE (Fandom Edition Fan Edition) on 7 July in the home market. The price is calculated to be around 545 euros (700,000 won). The statements are from industry insiders.
Smaller battery, optically identical to Note 7
In contrast to the original note 7 with a 3,500 mAh strong energy dispenser, the Galaxy Note FE has reportedly integrated a 3,200 mAh strong battery. This is probably to counteract the problem with exploding accumulators. Other features include the Exynos 8890 processor, 4 gigabytes of memory, OHD display, 12 megapixel camera, 5 megapixel front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and IP68 certification.
According to a report from May this year by Android Auhority, the Galaxy Note FE is included in the portfolio by the South Korean mobile phone provider SK Telecom, KT Fretel and LG Uplus. According to the Wall Street Journal, “FE” stands for “Fandom Edition”, which translates as “Fan Edition”.
