Whether you are a fan of retro games or if you have some white hair in your head, the name SEGA will only bring you happy memories of mind. The historic company, the first video game console manufacturer, and now only more focused on developing these, has announced that some of his classics have finally landed on both Android and iOS.
SEGA, which has been developing video games since the 1970s, has already brought many titles to the Play Store, focusing on the adventures of the Sonic Blue Curly Adventures. Through the SEGA Forever initiative, however, the multinational has announced the arrival of real classics on Android, in form (almost) free. There will be some ads within the games, removable with in-app purchases for a cost of € 1.99.
At the launch, at this time, five titles are available for download: Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Phantasy Star II, Kid Chameleon and Comix Zone. Sega promises to add new titles every month, including games for Sega Master System consoles, Sega Genesis and Mega Drive, Dreamcast.
These games will also be “refreshed” with new features, such as a system of scoring and ranking for players from around the world, the ability to save game and compatibility with Bluetooth controllers. Fortunately, the games will also be usable offline, but you will need an internet connection for some secondary functions.
Ads should also not be very invasive, showing only when you open the application and rescue them, never interrupt the game. Have you played in some of these titles in the past and are you glad to see some SEGA classic on Android?
