Xiaomi has entered the notebook market almost a year ago with Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. Originally available in 12.5 and 13.3-inch models, the economical handset of the Chinese has been expanded with a native compatibility version of 4G LTE and upgraded processors. Imminent is another model of Mi Notebook Air, which could include in the range of Xiaomi laptops a substantial hardware upgrade with the latest architectures.
The new 13.3-inch Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air, in this case, was spotted on Jingdong Mall (mostly known as JD.com) with novelty mainly under the body. The first novelty that comes to the eye is the presence of a small insert inside the touchpad, in the upper right. We do not know what it is, but all the clues point to the presence of a fingerprint sensor for secure authentication in the Windows environment with Hello support.
The sixth generation Intel Core i5 processor on the current models will be replaced with a 7.1GHz generation Intel Core i5-7200U, as well as the GPU that changes from the GeForce GTX 940MX to the NVIDIA GeForce MX150. The memory compartment remains unchanged, at least on the mere numeric front: the RAM will still be 8 G8, combined with solid state 128 and 256 GB SSDs for the storage space.
The new Mi Notebook Air should arrive these days at a price of 4,999 Chinese Yuan for the 128GB and 5499 Yuan models for the 256GB model. At present, the prices are 655 and 720 Euros, for two notebooks that are particularly interesting both in terms of technical specifications and design quality, through materials.
Update: The new version of the notebook is now official.
