For the first time housing parts of the iPhone 8 will be featured in a photo. The recording serves as an indication of the use of Touch ID on the display, as the back cover has no corresponding recess. A second photo shows the glass back of the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus.
While earlier representations of the iPhone 8 usually only schematic drawings or render images included, it should be at the current record to actual photos of the front and back of the case. Published by a Reddit user pictures are noisy user information from a Chinese glass suppliers.
Glass back without fingerprint sensor
The to be seen in the photo front section provides an almost frameless display with a diagonal of 5.8 inches. Thus, the presentation covers with previous reports, which also speak of a corresponding OLED display. The top contains a small cutout for the front camera, the phone speaker and probably a biometric face recognition, which uses an infrared system to authenticate the user.
The first beta of iOS 11 is also a small hint of the front camera design of iOS 8. While 10 is iPhone the reception strength of the unit at the top left with five points, Apple has returned with iOS 11 for space-saving bar display. The iPhone Group used the bar to display the signal strength already up to iOS 6. Since the left of the housing entering an iPhone-8 display surface is probably too small for the five signal strength points, could Apple have decided to iOS 11 back to a to put more compact bar graph.
The back of the case is made of glass, thus confirming earlier reports that Apple built a glass case with the iPhone 8, which is reminiscent of the iPhone 4 and 4s. Top left to see an opening for the vertically built dual-lens camera.
Further openings or recesses can not be seen, suggesting that Apple’s fingerprint sensor Touch ID still installed on the front of the chassis. Since the Home button is removed, most likely comes an optical touch ID variant on the display glass used. Some previous leaks showed diagrams of an iPhone 8 with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
iPhone 7s and 7s Plus with glass enclosure
In addition to the iPhone-8 housing parts and the backs of iPhone 7s and 7s Plus can be seen on a second photo. Although the housings are partly obscured, recording can draw conclusions about the design. Accordingly, the two models differ optically hardly from the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The only change is the change in the housing material of aluminum on glass.
The presentation of this year’s Apple iPhone smartphone 8, iPhone and iPhone 7s 7s Plus is expected in early September.
