The family of mini-PCs Gigabyte Brix supplemented with new models with Core i7-7500U and Thunderbolt 3

Gigabyte continues to expand its range of compact Brix systems and turn – release models GB-BKi7T2-7500 and GB-BKi7HT2-7500 on the basis of one of the older Mobile Intel Kaby Lake-U processors. In addition to the cost and at the same time rather “orderly» SoC, new items are equipped with card standard Wi-Fi 802.11ac and combined connector 3 Thunderbolt/USB 3.1 Type-C.

Mini-computer Gigabyte Brix GB-BKi7T2-7500 differs from fellow thin case – 34.4 mm. The system is based on a dual SoC Core i7-7500U (2,7 / 3,7 GHz) with Intel HD graphics 620, supports up to 64 GB SO-DIMM DDR4-2133 RAM and solid M.2-storage up to 80 mm in length ( RAM and SSD will need to purchase separately). Connector M.2 Key E busy Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 adapter with support for Bluetooth 4.2. For communication with the outside world in GB-BKi7T2-7500 also has a Gigabit Ethernet port on the Intel I219-V controller. Apart from him, on the side faces of the new Brix is ​​a slot for memory cards microSD, Audio Mini-Jack, four connectors USB 3.0 (two types A and C), single Thunderbolt 3, USB 2.0, Mini DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, Kensington lock and socket for external power adapter. Denomination latter is 65 W (19 V / 3.42 A).

Also a power source supplied included VESA mount 75 × 75/100 × 100 mm. Of all the operating systems officially supported only 64-bit Windows 10.

Mini PC Brix GB-BKi7HT2-7500 compared to fellow more “well-fed”, and the reason to be justifiable: extra space can be used for mounting a 2.5 inch HDD or SSD 7 mm or 9.5 mm. The model GB-BKi7T2-7500, respectively, this is not possible. Dimensions of the system with the suffix H equal to 119.4 (D) × 112,6 (W) × 46,8 () mm.

New Gigabyte Brix can display images on three monitors simultaneously. To do this, arrange the connection of one of them over HDMI, and two – on the DisplayPort ++. In turn, Thunderbolt 3 allows serial connection of six devices.

According to our estimates, both mini-computers will cost about 40,000 rubles. The price quite substantially affect the use of Thunderbolt controller 3, as well as the integration of a large number of interfaces.
