Google Pixel 2: 5.6 inches display in 18: 9 format

Most smartphone manufacturers have their flagships for this year long on the market, companies like Apple and Google wait as usual still a little and beat only in the second half of the year. With Google the successors of the Google pixel from the last year in the starting holes and also, if it is until the release still a while, the rumors and leaks have accumulated for some time.

Now we learn about a Leak at GFXBench New to the specifications: As you know, various information has already leaked, so we already heard of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 to fire the smartphones. By now, the slightly improved Snapdragon 836 is at the start, I could imagine that Google still reacts and to the newer processor sets.

We also heard in advance that the pixel smartphones is to be waterproof and that the already powerful camera is again improved. Now, thanks to GFXBench, the new display of the Google Pixel XL 2 is now available, which is to be achieved with a screen diagonal of 5.6 inches with 2.560 x 1.312 pixels.

From this, it can be deduced that Google is also aware of the trend that we already know from companies such as LG, Samsung or even more recently Essential and a display is installed, which comes about in the 2: 1 or 18: 9 format instead of 16: 9.

Furthermore we can see from the new data that 4 GB RAM as well as 128 GB of internal memory are installed and the main camera with 12 megapixels can offer. This camera resolution seems to be established as a standard by many manufacturers – fortunately, the companies now not only simply increase the number of pixels, but also optimize the cameras by turning on different setscrews.

Still, Android 7.1.1 is given as an operating system, but you can assume, of course, that the release of the brand new Android O will be applied to all new pixel models. Until the time has come, one or two more months will pass, but we keep the devices firmly in sight and can undoubtedly look forward to really strong smartphones, which may look like this picture by Benjamin Geskin.
