Japan plans to cover 5G networks completely by 2023

Leading telecommunications company in Japan, according to network sources, we started testing high-speed mobile networks of the fifth generation (5G).

New technology intend to introduce NTT DoCoMo, KDDI and SoftBank Group. On the deployment of 5G-infrastructure these giants together are willing to spend up to 5 trillion yen, or about 45.7 billion US dollars.

The first commercial 5G zones are expected to be deployed in Tokyo and some other areas of the country by 2020. A fifth-generation network still three years should earn nationwide.

Japan sees great potential in-5G networks. Among the promising areas of application technology called self-managed vehicles, telemedicine, system virtual and augmented reality, the Internet of Things industry and so on.

It should be noted that Russian mobile operators were also tested 5G-technology. For example, “megaphone” together with Huawei recently demonstrated the ability to transfer data in the fifth generation network at a rate up to 35 Gbit / s.

The Russian test 5G-zone will be deployed in preparation for the World Cup 2018. It is assumed that by 2024 5G networks in one form or another will begin to operate in all Russian cities with a population of 300,000 inhabitants.
