The company International Data Corporation (IDC) has estimated the balance of power in the world market of printing equipment (Hardcopy Peripherals, HCP) at the end of the first quarter of this year.
Published data allow for the delivery of traditional printers, multifunction devices and copiers.
So, it is reported that in the period from January to March on a global scale was shipped about 23.4 million devices of the press. This is only a 1.2% increase compared to the first quarter of 2016, when the market volume was estimated at 23.1 million units.
HP has become the largest supplier with 8.6 million devices sold. The share of the company, according to IDC estimates, is about 36.9%.
The second position is located Canon Group with 4.5 million units shipped and shares 19.4%. “Bronze” went to Epson company that could deliver 4.2 million units, ranking as a result of 18.0% of the market.
The fourth and fifth positions are Samsung and Brother with 1.8 million or 973 thousand. Apparatuses realized respectively. Shares of these companies are equal to 7.6% and 4.2%.
All other vendors together shipped about 3.2 million devices of the press. Their aggregate share was at 13.9% in the world market.
