To the E3 2017, EA has unveiled two unknown games and otherwise limited itself to further details on already announced projects. The titles shown include Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Need for Speed Payback.
Anthem is the new brand developed by BioWare in parallel with MassEffect: Andromeda. The short teaser trailer merely reveals that the happenings are on a sci-fi planet where people live in technological enclaves and defend themselves against the dangers in a jungle by means of mechanized suits. First gameplay is to be shown at the press conference of Microsoft.
A Way Out
A Way Out is another title from the publisher’s indie program (“EA Originals”), developed by Hazelight. The game is based on ideas from Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons: Again two characters are in the center, which are now no longer controlled by a single player, but by a single player. Thus, A Way Out can not be played, a second person, who either controls the second game character either by Splitscreen or online, is absolutely necessary. The goal is to let the two unequal companions Vincent and Leo escape successfully from a prison.
The mechanics are, as Eurogamer reported on a league event, consistently laid out on two players; Both users have to decide unanimously about dialog decisions and get the perspective of the other player at important events. It is important for the process to think about a problem from two positions.
Battlefield 1: The Name of the Tsar
Also shown was a trailer of the next expansion for Battlefield 1, which will be released in September. The name of the Tsar brings the Russian army with eleven new weapons to the battlefield, which is expanded by six new maps. In addition, the DLC brings new vehicles as well as battles at night.
Need for Speed Payback
Already at the announcement of the next Need for Speed disc, EA has left no doubt that in addition to fast cars explosions and a story will be the focus. This approach is underpinned by a first gameplay trailer, which shows an explosive attack on a moving truck – Payback will be a fast & furious, if the material is correct.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2
Star Wars: Battlefront 2: A battling trailer, EA shows battles from all epochs of the universe on the ground as well as in space and shows a few seconds of an intermediate sequence from the already announced single player mode.
For players most importantly, the announcement of free supplementary content, which had already indicated itself. EA has thus set itself on a business model: As in Titan 2, there will be new locations, characters, vehicles, weapons, game modes, equipment maps in the form of free updates delivered in “Seasons”.
The Star Wars ™ Battlefront II: Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition. Every trooper class (Officer, Assault, Heavy and Specialist) is upgraded, delivering superior firepower, deadly weapons, and epic Star Card abilities.
The lucrative small things EA can not be missed. The Deluxe Edition of the game gives an indication: Buyers of the 80 Euro version receive exclusive skins and can play three days before all other users. They also receive exclusive weapon modifications, star maps, and instant access to a selection of unlockable items. The description in the Origin Shop also attracts implicitly with playful advantages of these – bonuses for 30 euros extra-expensive to call.
The ability cards are also distributed in all versions of the Shooter by crates that can be purchased against credits or Euros. Opposite GameStar assured the producer of the game that paying customers would have no advantage: Although the cards have impact on the gameplay, but would only distributed randomly to spend money only save time. Such a reasoning is only very conditional.
