The recent wave of violence that has hit Europe seems to have left the indifferent European Commission who would be studying new measures to facilitate the task of law enforcement. In particular proposals will soon be three new options that will serve as guide lines for new laws to be enacted by ‘ the European Union .
It begins with the softer proposal, which would allow law enforcement agencies of the member states to request access to the data of a company without contact the authorities of the country of residence. The second option would require airlines to provide the data requested by the authorities of other countries while the third, the most extreme and radical, dell’odine forces would allow direct access to data stored in the cloud.
” The third option should be used only in an emergency and obviously requires some precautionary measures to safeguard the privacy of citizens. “
