Android O Preview 3 for developers
Google seems to plan the roll-out for the official, final version of Android O, already in the summer. According to insider reports, Android O could go in August for the Google Pixel models at the start.
Currently the third DEV Preview version is available for developers. This version is also compatible with Google Nexus 5x, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player and Pixel C.
Downloads via Google
Android O preview downloads are offered through the Google website developer.android.com. The page also provides instructions on how the preview can be installed on the device. In addition, the beta version is already downloadable via the OTA program. The fourth and last DEV preview will probably be available in July, reports 9to5Google. About Twitter, David Ruddock posts that a release of Android O alias Android 8 is expected in early August.
The beta version of Android O offers some new features. Among other things, a new picture-in-picture mode is integrated, new notification dots, an improved copy-paste process, new emojis and the creation of a new smartphone will be facilitated in the future. In the DEV preview version, there is also a more detailed overview of the status bar and revised speed settings, as well as a new design of the notifications.
