With the data collected anonymously from over 20 million users worldwide, Fitbit has published the ranking of the most active countries in the world. Italians not fare very well, since it is only placing the fifteenth place, but some people are much worse off than us.
The study by Fitbit analyzed data related to sleep, the daily steps, minutes of activity and resting heart rate. The better shape were found to be the Irish, before the inhabitants of the United Kingdom and the Swedes. Italy came in at fifteenth place in front of the Japanese and the French. Worst of us are also the Americans who finish in twenty-eighth place, behind even Israel and Argentina.
If we look at the steps of the most active routes are the Spaniards with 9023 steps a day and in the UK users are sleeping on average 7 hours and 14 minutes. In this ranking Italians stop in steps 8292 to stand at thirteenth place. Fitbit remember that a good sleep plays a vital role in overall wellbeing, protecting against cardiovascular disease, depression, diabetes, obesity and even longevity and neuro-cognitive function.
