The Galaxy S8’s latest sales figures are enough to give Samsung back the smile after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
The release of a new smartphone gives big manufacturers the opportunity to recall their leadership. This is the case of Samsung who sees its Galaxy S8 particularly welcomed by the press and the general public. Once is not customary, the Korean firm has boasted its sales figures, apparently even better than those of the previous generation.
Good results … On the length?
According to its own data, Samsung indicates that the Galaxy S8 sells twice as fast as the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. A success due to the quality of the phone, but paradoxically, also thanks to the monumental failure of the Galaxy Note 7. Customers looking for a high-performance Android device seem to have waited firmly. The Korean has therefore managed to limit the break in terms of brand image.
However, this type of announcement must be tempered, as no figures have been disclosed. The firm’s spokesman simply announced that it had sold more Galaxy S8 (and S8 Plus) in a month than Galaxy S6 and S7 in 75 days. It remains to be seen whether this dynamic will hold on to the length since the previous model seems to benefit from a beautiful “second life” for smaller budgets.
