12 euros maximum compensation …
This compensation is obviously very slight. ” For each month of inconvenience that the subscriber will have reported, compensation will amount to € 1 up to a maximum of € 12 ” explains the UFC-Que Choisir on its website. And it concerns only the current subscribers of Free Mobile who would have subscribed to a package of 19.99 euros or 15.99 euros during the period running from January 2012 to October 2015.
Excluded from this compensation are those subscribers who have canceled their package and those who have benefited from these packages during promotional periods. A very clear and precise FAQ has been posted on the site of UFC-Que Choisir. Everything is explained here: how to be entitled to this compensation, why the former subscribers are excluded (” The increased complexity of the compensation procedure linked to such taking into account justified that the former subscribers were not retained as eligible […] “) and what to do if we were not contacted by Free.
… On the invoice of current subscribers only
It should be noted that this compensation will take the form of a reduction in invoice. As for the refund form, it is accessible after receiving an email from Free. This form is then hosted on the Free Mobile site.
