IPhone 8 Touch ID – For some months now, it is thought that Apple will integrate the fingerprint sensor (touch ID) in the display. According to a report by Digitimes and the Economic Daily News, this seems to be confirmed. A late launch is probably also off the table. The iPhone 8 will be presented on time on the September keynote.
IPhone 8: Touch ID in the display
The new Apple processor A11 is manufactured by TSMC. TSMC is said to have announced during a technology symposium that the upcoming Apple Premium model iPhone 8 various design changes and new features are provided.
An optical authentication using a fingerprint sensor directly through the display is to unlock the iPhone 8. This is reported by Digitimes, referring to the Chinese edition of Economic Daily News. The typical Homebutton would be omitted and an almost borderless screen nothing stood in the way.
Introduction to the September Keynote
In an e-mail it is therefore to be read that the Black Out Days are in the period from 17 September to 4 November. Within the Black Out Days, Apple Support employees receive a vacation lock that has been set for a certain time. Therefore, it is very likely that a punctual launch will take place. On the other hand, September 17th falls on a Sunday. Usually the keynote always takes place on a Tuesday or Wednesday. It is therefore assumed that this year Apple will postpone the keynote on the 12th or 13th September. Title: iPhone 8 Source iDropNews.
