The display of our smartphones are increasingly larger : it is a trend that we are slowly getting used to, but even if a screen of more generous dimensions allow a better use of multimedia content, some users still prefer more compact and portable. However, as confirmed by the infographic created by AnTuTu on the preference of Chinese users with regard to the diagonal of the display, choose the second option are fewer consumers.
We do not know how to AnTuTu has collected the data, but they seem reliable enough: the report shows that the tendency to opt for more and larger displays both increases and how these devices now constitute the majority of the market . Smart phones with screens between 5 and 6 inches are the most widespread and even make up 82% of the total market.
In particular, the 5.5-inch displays are the most popular (35.60%) and are immediately followed in the order by 5.7 inches (10.39%) and 6 inches (6.38%). The 5-inch screens, however, are slowly giving way to 5.1 or 5.2-inch devices. Some users, finally, contrary to market trends continue to prefer smaller dimensions: the diagonals between 3.5 and 4.9 inches are chosen from 9:39% of consumers.
For this reason, manufacturers are trying to develop smartphones with ever larger screens in smaller sizes as possible, as in the case of the Xiaomi Mi Mix, borderless on three sides or top of the range Samsung and LG. The competition in the smartphone market this year more than ever it will fight even on the screen size.
