Apple: WWDC keynote is broadcast as a live stream

Apple: WWDC-Keynote wird als Live-Stream übertragen

Apple will broadcast the upcoming WWDC keynote – as in the previous years – as a live stream. The iPhone Group has announced this on a dedicated landing page. The event starts on June 5 (Pfingstmontag) at 7:00 pm German time.

If you want to watch the WWDC stream, you must follow the following system requirements: The transfer works on iOS devices with iOS 7 (or newer) as well as Macs with OS X Snow Leopard 10.8.5 (or newer). Users of an Apple TV (from the second generation) or Windows 10 PCs with Microsoft Edge can also watch Apple’s development conference live.

IPad Pro with 10.5 inch display

In addition to the new operating system versions iOS 11, macOS 10.13, watchOS 4 and tvOS 11, this year also major hardware presentations are expected. Thus, it is assumed that Apple is an almost frameless iPad Pro with 10.5 inch display, which offers the same housing dimensions as the current 9.7 inch model.

Siri speakers and new MacBooks

In addition to the new iPad-Pro model, Apple is reportedly planning to introduce a voice-controlled Siri speaker to compete with competitors such as Amazon Echo and Google Home. The design is based on the current Mac Pro.

Also hardware upgrades for the MacBook Pro, MacBook and MacBook Air are on the agenda of WWDC 2017.
