Elgato delivers the Thunderbolt 3 Dock from the 6th of June

Elgato startet Auslieferung des Thunderbold 3 Dock

Earlier this year, Elgato announced the Thunderbolt 3 Dock and promised to deliver it in the first quarter. Did not quite work out, but now the technical hurdles are overcome. The first devices will be available on 6 June, ie in exactly two weeks. The Munich company holds the prize of 300 euros.

With the Thunderbolt 3 Dock, the following interfaces are compactly available in one housing on a Mac or PC in a single port:

• 2x Thunderbolt 3 via USB-C
• 1x DisplayPort
• 1x Gigabit Ethernet
• 3x USB 3.0
• 1x 3.5 mm headphone output and 1x 3.5 mm microphone input

The computer is powered by only one cable, the power is 85 watts, thus also includes the 15 “MacBook Pro – a laptop that sometimes falls under the table with some docking solutions from other manufacturers and is not supported. The previous generation of the Thunderbolt 2 is still available.
