Lenovo Moto G5S: Smartphone with facelift of metal shows up

Lenovo Moto G5S: Smartphone mit Facelift aus Metall zeigt sich

After only a few days ago, the Lenovo product range for the Moto brand has been leaked and Moto C (Plus) already the first models were shown, pictures of other smartphones find the way to the Internet. This time it is the Moto G5S.

According to the roadmap, the Moto G5S, together with the G5S Plus, will be the successor to the Moto G5 and G5 Plus mid-range smartphones, which were shown at the beginning of the year. The most important difference is the choice of material: while the Moto G5 (Plus) only has the rear side of slightly roughened aluminum, the new model should be pulled into the frame according to the Android Authority. Also visible are antenna strips on the back.

Again larger displays

The other design features however clearly remind the predecessors. Technical differences to the currently available Moto G5 smartphones are new old display sizes: from 5.0 and 5.2 inch (Moto G5 Plus) it goes to 5.2 and 5.5 inch for the plus version, in both Cases with full HD resolution. Already in the Moto G4 Lenovo set on 5.5-inch screens. The photos, however, only show the “small” Moto G5S.

For availability and prices is currently unknown, the MSP of Moto G5 and G5 Plus was 199 and 299 euros respectively. In addition to Moto G5S (Plus), Lenovo is also scheduled for this year a successor to the Moto Z (test) as well as the Moto Z Play (test). Pictures of the last-named smartphone have recently appeared at the Chinese regulatory authority TENAA.
