Apple iPad mini: No other devices planned

Apple iPad mini – The Apple iPad mini could be put on hold by Apple in the near future. According to a report, Apple will not launch a new version of the small tablet and instead focus more on the 10-inch devices.

Apple iPad mini before the end?

The Apple iPad mini came on the market in autumn 2012 and has been steadily developed over the past years. The latest version came in the market in September 2015, since then Apple has improved the device class only slightly. According to a report of the Boy Genius Report, the company is now planning the complete setting of the small tablet.

Apparently, the iPad mini does not sell as well as the big brothers, with display diagonals of 9.7 inches and 12.9 inches . The tablet has won the competition mainly from its own ranks. Since Apple offers the in-house iPhone models in Phablet size with a 5.5 inch display, many customers seem more likely to grab these rather than get a slightly larger tablet.

IPad with 9.7 inch new entry-level device

Also the previously introduced iPad with 9.7 inch, which is available from 399 euros, runs the iPad mini further and further the rank off. The larger tablet was designed as a new entry-level device and is significantly cheaper with 32 GB memory and 128 GB only slightly more expensive than the mini-model. The iPad mini is only available with 128 GB since the introduction of the iPad. And costs almost 100 euros more than the 32 GB iPad.

The iPad mini has survived itself, apparently, is said to Apple and wants to let the report expire. In future, the focus will be on the bigger models with 9.7 inches and more. The company is rumored to present a new version with a 10.5 inch display and a narrow edge.
