On May 24, 2017, the Action MMORPG Black Desert Online will be released on Steam. The Online Rolling Game by South Korean developer Pearl Abyss has been available in Europe for over a year. Now follows the step towards the popular digital game distribution of Valve.
Although the operators of the game in the Steam announcement assure that the previous PC version and the Steam version are identical and players enter the same virtual world, existing accounts are not compatible with the Steam version: A new account is mandatory. The FAQs call a partial support of (steam) controllers as well as steamlink.
The product page in the Steam-Shop does not list prices. A minimum of 9.99 Euro is required for the beginners package. Monthly charges do not exist. Instead, optional in-game purchases provide additional revenue.
